Starting in the off position, you should cycle the key from off to on eight times within 10 seconds, ending in the on position. The doors should lock, and then unlock to confirm that the car is in programming mode.
Once in programing mode, you can hit any button on the remote and it will lock and unlock to confirm programming the remote. You will also want to hit any button on any other remotes that you have to retrain them, since entering the programing mode will erase all of the old remotes.
When you're done, turn the key back to off, and the locks will cycle one more time as it exits programming mode.
If the car didn't come with a remote, and the doors do not cycle after 8 turns of the key, this may indicate that the car wasn't built with keyless entry, as some were not.

2001 FORD ESCAPE - new Battery still wont start - no lights no radio no crank

I remember the same thing happening to a Ford car - when the battery was removed, the wire supplying power to the vehicle dropped onto the battery tray and was covered when the battery was replaced. The guy reconnected all the wires he could see but could not understand why his car remained dead.

I expect something similar has happened to your car.

The Fob on my 2001 Ford Explorer will not lock all doors

The problem is not with the FOB, it's within the vehicle. All the FOB does is send a signal to a modual and the modual sends signals to all the locks. I'm sorry I can't be of more help.

1995 FORD EXPLORER

Yes, Fords have PATS system, which is what controlls your keyless entry. It is the computer for your key fobs and keyless entry. You might have tripped itby accident, and your only solution is to take it to a dealership or someone who has Fords reprogrammimg computer to have it reflashed.

most, not all fords can be reprogrammed by turning the key switch on and offtill the door locks jump up or down, but if this doesnt work you may have to take it to the dealer.if the locks move ,press the down or up button on remote ,I know this works on most taurus and explorers.

Keys and Keyfob do not open 2001 explorer from outside

Spray some WD-40 into the key cylinders and then try working the key. The locks seize up because you keep using the FOBs.
