Ok well to start are the subs 4ohm dvc or 2 ohm dvcs? heres some questions that will get you started. what kind of car do you have and what is your alternator amperage output right now. the kicker 2500.1 is big enough for 2 L7 15s. i would most deffinetly recomend a large capacitor for this system. with 4 l5s you will need roughly 3000 watts rms. so 2 of those amps, 1 amp per 2 subs will be more than enough. im not familiar with the kicker amp line. if they have anything more like a 2000.1 that would still be plenty power and less exspensive. if you have 4 ohm dvcs then you can wire to 1 ohm. is the 2500.1 1 ohm stable? thats something you need to find out. your deffinetly going to want to run atleast 2 gauge wire. i have 4 L7 15s and i run 0 gauge. if the subs are 2ohm dvc you will have to figure out how you would want to wire those. and when i say a large cpacitor i mean like 10 farad or more. i use a 30 farad power acoustik. alot of people would say this is a crappy cap. true it isnt the best one on the market but im running some serious power in my vehicle and this thing gets the job done for sure. if you havent already done THE BIG 3 is a good idea to upgrade. just look up the big 3 and you will find it easily on google. for 4 l5s you may need a High output alternator. 200 amp would be ideal. i know it sounds like alot but if you dont do everything the right way the first time you will end up doing it the right way at some point. if you dont get effiecent power to your system your not going to be happy with it at all.

just to give you an idea so maybe you can educate yourself alittle more before you get youself into this whole thing. im running 2 hifonics brutus bxi 2608s 2600 watts at 1 ohm rms. each one to 2 s15l7s 4 ohm dvc. a 300 amp alternator 2 batterys all 0 gauge wiring and the 30 farad cap. those subs and amps your talking about can pull serious amperage from your car in excess of 300 at a solid base note. let me know how you make out.... my email is motomartin315@aol.com if you have any more questions. just trying to help.

Would a 10ZX750.1 amp be alright on a Single Solobaric L5 10" inch in a ported box???

yes, the 10ZX750.1 is capable of running two L5's at two ohms in either a ported or sealed box. Just be sure to wire it up to suit your needs correctly (if you need to know how i can help) and make sure that your box dimensions match what kicker specify. the L5 is actually one of the subs that kicker reccommend for that amp.
Hope I helped , and please dont forget to rate.
cheers

I have 2 15 inch L5 solo baric subs and need a amp?

the 15" l5 is rated at 750 watts rms so i suggest you get an amp with atleast that much power because if you get a amp weaker than that you run the risk of clipping your subs and blowing them

What type of "Gauge" wires should I be using for the Kicker ZR600 AMP (Power cable, ground, Speaker wire)?

Hi there,

The lower the gauge, the thicker the wire.
You want multi-strand, not solid. This has better conductivity and less resistance over distance.

10 to 8 gauge will be able to handle anything that particular amp needs.

Remember an in-line fuse on the power cable as close to the battery as possible.

The speaker wire doesn't really need to be anything special

Sound good? Pun intended

Best regards
Mike

How do you wire l5 to 2 ohm

Hello lholt07,

If the L5 has 4 ohm voice coils, you simply wire both voice coils in parallel, both marked and unmarked positive terminals together and to the amp and likewise with the negative terminals. If the L5 has 2 ohm voice coils, it cannot be wired to 2 ohms.

Hope this helps.

Yes i was wondering what would be the best way to wire my system. i have to kicker L5 4 ohm 10in subs and one kicker 1000 watt mano amp. what wolud be the way to get the best bass out as possible.

Hello eaglepower_2,

Well, to get the maximum power from the amp, you really need a 2ω load. Unfortunately, you cannot get that from 2 L5's with 4ω voice coils. You can get either 1ω which will burn your amp up, or you can get 4ω, and your amp will put about 500 watts RMS into that load.

To get the most from your amp, you really needed the L5's with 2ω voice coils. That way, you could run the voice coils in series and the subs in parallel, resulting in a 2ω load, exactly what your amp likes. If you can exchange them for the 2ω model, I would.

Wiring

You have 2 subs and 2 amps right? In that case make sure that the amps are capable of stable 1ohm load and also you'll need a lot of power and 4 gauge power cable for each amp with fuse of course.
Now....take one sub and connect the (-) with the (-) and the (+) with the (+).Now you have one (+) and one(-) to connect to the amp.Do the same with the other sub and you're ready to rock!!

Blue low voltage light

You most likely need a bigger alt. The low voltage light comes on simply because your alt. isn't producing enough to feed the demand.
