How do i get it to fill the tv screen when watch it on tv using an hdmi

Either locate the video cards settings page and if available it will allow you to stretch the display to fit the screen

or

If your TV has the ability, choose a native resolution like 720 or 1080 and locate the picture settings on the TV and look for anything to do with Display Ratio, you can play around here but you will want to find 1:1 , it will fill the screen exactly to the resolution you have picked on the computer.

Intel onboard cards have a utility that allows you to stretch the screen, if you need further help, let me know what video card the laptop has and i will be able to step by step the fix.

Just look for the 1:1 ratio first, it's your best bet.

Hi there,

I've seen this before, the main problem is that the resolution is set too low, so it only fills part of the screen.

two ways to solve it.

1. Adjust the resolution to the optimal setting so it fills the entire screen.

2. Find the Picture Scaling option and have it Scale the picture to the entire screen.

To adjust the resolution, now its been a long time since I used windows 98, but I think you got to it by going to your desktop with the background, right click anywhere on the empty space and select properties, now on the window that opens it was the last page, settings I think, you should get an representation of your screen with a resolution lever and color options, pull the resolution lever one point to the right and hit apply and ok, do this until the picture fills the entire screen.

If your laptop has internet connectivity, I could take a look at it over remote support and solve the problem for you.

I have recently bought acer aspire 4750g and when i connect it to my sony bravia lcd thru hdmi it didnot give accurate size screen on my lcd

By not giving an accurate size, do you mean that everything looks stretched, is it not filling the screen, or is it cutting off the picture at the edges?
If it looks stretched or not filling the screen, you need to change the resolution of your screen. To do this in Windows Vista or 7 you need to right click on an empty portion of your desktop and click on "Screen Resolution." From there, click the drop down menu labeled "Resolution" and adjust it to something that looks right. crasher35_12.jpg
In Windows XP, right click on an empty portion of your desktop and click on "Properties." From there you need to click on the "Settings" tab, then move the slider inside the box labeled "Screen Resolution." Change it to something that looks right. crasher35_13.jpg

right click anywhere on desktop>properties and set the screen resolution to a smaller value.

To change your monitor's resolution

1.

Right-click the desktop, and then click Properties.

2.

In the Display Properties dialog box, click the Settings tab.

3.

Drag the Screen resolution slider to the left to decrease the resolution of your monitor, making text and pictures appear larger. Or drag the Screen resolution slider to the right to increase your monitor's resolution, making text and pictures appear smaller.

6.

Click OK.

How do you remove the cd/dvd rom in a emachine m6810

This is not an easy task, but first unsnap the the swivel cover just beneath the lcd screen. unscrew the keyboard securing screws and carefully lift out the keyboard ans separate the tape cable, now look and locate the securing screw for your dvd rom and just slide it out. Installation is in reverse. Please use caution as not to damage the internal parts and connections. Good Luck

On puttin on my web cam it said ''hp mediasmart webcam does not support a screen resolution smaller than 1024x768, and i am not able to start web cam.

Click on your desktop and set your screen resolution to that size 1024x768, but I don't believe that’s the case cause most web cameras only put out 300 bit pictures but try it maybe it will work and afterwards you should be able to open the properties of the camera to change resolution

try playing around with the position options "stretch and the others" and see if that works. make sure you dont have any desktop theme software on your system aswell and if you do, uninstall it.
is it xp or vista?

Vista Stetched Screen

It appears that the wrong Nvidia driver has been installed because you cannot change the screen resolution above 1024x768.
o to the Compaq/HP WEB site - support/download page to download the latest Nvidia driver for your version of Windows and model laptop.
