Question about Televison & Video
My problem matched the description on here and on lcdparts.net and from a seller on ebay. So I took a gamble and tried it and it worked. It seemed such a specific problem and matched so well I thought it was a pretty good chance of working.
The problem that I saw was that the TV would come on fine for a short time (a few seconds to a few minutes) then the screen would go black (no picture or even backlight glow). The sound would continue and the TV responds to the remote, but no picture. If turned off and back on the picture would reappear for a short time.
If I was wrong I thought I could probably resell the part, so I wasn't really risking the $150-$180, but something closer to the $50-$75 diagnostic fee that most of the repair places were quoting me. Good luck with your problem.
