I have no sound driver (Gigabyte GA-945GCMX-S2 )its mother board number
Hi Suresh, make sure your audio is [Enabled] in your bios. Use your manual to help you find the Audio settings within the bios.
Please click on this link, which will open Gigabyte's main web site for the mother board GA-945GCMX-S2 rev 6.6
http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Products/Motherboard/Products_Overview.aspx?ProductID=2521
Listed on the right of the page under "Related links" is Driver.
Click the word Driver to open all drivers for the mother board. Suggest you save the above link to your favorites. Create a folder on your desktop & name it Audio. Download the [Realtek Function driver for Realtek], file name;
"motherboard_driver_audio_realtek_azalia.exe" into the folder audio folder. Run the .exe from within the audio folder. It will than uncompress its self into the audio folder. The .exe file will create another folder called "Realtek". You can try running the setup.exe in the Realtek folder. If installing the audio software fails to install by running the setup.exe file than open control panel, than open the system icon. Click the hardware tab & click the device manager button. Scroll down to & click the + sign next to Sound, audio and game controller which may already be opened.
Right click once on the yellow ! point & left click once on update driver. Windows hardware wizard will open. Click No, not at this time. Than click the next button. Another window will open. Left click once in the circle next to, Install from a list or specific location (Advanced). Than click the next button. Again, another window will open. We want to remove the green check mark next to, Search removable media (floppy, CD-ROM...). Click the green check mark once & it will go away.
Click the browse button, click the + sign next to my computer. Find you’re desktop folder Audio & open it. Left click once on the folder named; Realtek so it is high-lighted. Than click OK.
Windows will find the correct driver software & install it automatically. Once completed. Close all opened windows & restart you’re system. Test your audio. If you intend to use a mic, you will need to set this up through the Sounds audio devices within the control panel.
Good luck Suresh!
If you run into any other issues just post it here.

Venkia, read the above instructions I posted. If the instructions are not listed for you go to this link & follow the instructions to install your sound driver software;
http://www.fixya.com/support/t911656-ga_...
Please make sure your speakers work by hooking them up to another PC or notebook. Make sure you have set the bios to [Enable].

For Windows XP after you have followed the instruction & restarted your system. Check in device manager. Look for any yellow ! points. If none are found it is possible your soud chip is defective. (That item can not be replaced). You can add a PCI sound card to the system.
