Question about Pioneer CDJ-800 Turntable

1 Answer

Plugged cdj-800 and mixer into a European outlet-now they won't turn on

Hi, just moved to Amsterdam and stupidly plugged both my cdj800 and Pioneer mixer into the outlet with only an adapter and not a voltage converter. They turned on for a moment and then turned off. I just bought the converters and tried to turn them on, and nothing. Is there anything that I can do to reset them? How bad is this?

No sound comming from the speakers

Assuming you have plugged it into your mixer first, be sure that you:
A) matched the red and white RCA cable heads with the red and white input port on the mixer and output ports on the CDJ.
B) make sure you've plugged in to the "Line" ports, not the "phono" ports on one channel of your mixer.
C) lastly, make sure your headphones are plugged into the headphone jack of the mixer, have the "monitor" volume turned up, have the correct channel selected and make sure the channel selector switch is set to the same channel your CDJ is plugged into.
That should do it.
