If you don't have a crystal eye webcam shortcut on your desktop then do the following:
•Click Start (lower left-hand of screen) •Select Run •Copy and paste this in the Run window (include quotation marks): "C:\Program Files\ACER Crystal Eye webcam\Acer Crystal Eye webcam.exe" •Click ok
Click on my computer / ok then click Program files / click crystal eye folder / when you are in that folder see if you see a file that says crystal eye.exe this will run the program.
The first thing to check is if your webcam is working correctly. If you're running Windows XP, click on the "start" button, then click on "My Computer". Now double click on "Acer Crystal Eye Webcam". It should now show a screen with video from the webcam (probably of your face in front of the computer).
I assume you have an ACER laptop, since you have a Crystal Eye webcam. Most likely the software for your webcam got corrupted or is malfunctioning. So you may have to uninstall then reinstall the software for the webcam. Your laptop or PC will most likely will come with drivers CD or software CD, so you can reinstall it again. Otherwise if you lost the CDs or can't find them, you can goto the manufacturer's website which is www.acer.com then find the specific model of the laptop or PC then download it.
If you can find it, I suggest you contact the manufacturer of your PC or thw webcam for further support.
If you go to your start menu, look for a programme called 'acer crystal eye webcam' and that will bring up your webcam programme.
It is not in the folder 'Acer crystal eye webcam' though, just 'Crystal eye webcam'.
If this proves fruitless, type webcam into the search option at the bottom of your start menu and look for the crystal eye webcam.
If these do not work, then look in your control panel to make sure it is installed. If not, contact company, they have a good customer service standard (from my experience)
