Okay, here is what you need, if you are a DIV wizard please enjoy, if you are new to this take it one step at a time and have plenty of breaks as the job will drive you stir crazy at times.

First things first. You have got to pick a good day on which you are going to attempt this. If you are new to this, you will have to give your self approximately 8 hours. In real time this is 2 days of anyones time. Hotpoint engineers can do this job in about 2 hours or so but this is not a race as we only want to do this the once.

I'm assuming you already have a decent tool kit otherwise you wouldn't be attempting this washing machine bearing change. A decent screwdriver set, a few open ended spanners - 10mm, 13mm, 17mm, 19mm - and a decent hammer, a big one, no lets make that a really big one

As an apprentice engineer, brute force and ignorance was my biggest asset and it still carries to this day so don't be afraid to use a big hammer.

We mentioned time didn't we. The next thing to do is research the type of bearings you will need, so establish what the model number of your washing machine is by identifying the rating plate. Its on the inside of the door.

Once you know the model number go to a white goods web site and order the bearings.

Below I have included a drawing of a typical washing machine drum. This will help you identify the parts and aid your attempt and dismantling the washing machine.

Need to replace bearings in A O Smith Century #7-350367-01-OJ 220 a/c motor 1 Phase. Need Parte Diagram

Just thought I would mention - most motor bearings are fairly standard ball bearings and obtaining replacements as motor spare parts can be a very expensive method. Obtaining replacements from a local bearing supplier or even online can represent a considerable saving.

Hello texasjagfan: My name is Roger and I will help you. The front hub bearings are press out bearings and you will need a press in order to change them. You will need to remove the front spindle to gain access to the bearings. You also will need an alignment when finished replacing the front bearings. The rear bearings are a hub and bearing unit.

I get a vibration as im driving possible from the rear wheel

a) Wheel Balance.
b) Wheel Alignment
c) Wheel Bearing.
My best guess is a wheel bearing needing replacement. If there is only noise, then MAYBE repacking of bearings. However with vibrations, the wheel bearing(s) need to be replaced. Make sure you replace both the bearing and races as a set.
Let me know if this helped or if you need additional help.

Front bearings can I replace? what tools do I need?

The caliper has to come off first, then the rotor. Examine the outer bearing first for cracking, pits, rust, etc., it may be OK. If you want to replace them , you need new seals too. The outer bearing races can be knocked out with a hammer & punch
Pack the new bearings with grease, install the seal with a hammer & 2x4.
To set the bearings:
Tighten the nut to 12 ft/lbs while rotating the wheel
Back off the nut dead loose
Tighten it finger tight
back it off to the first pin hole
This should leave .001--.008 thou. end play
Hope that's enough info!

DANA 35 BEARING REPLACE

If you are going to change one of the pinion bearings you really need to replace both since you will have the pinion shaft out anyway. At the same time you will need to replace the crush sleeve to set the proper load on the pinion bearings. Your Chrysler dealer should have the crush sleeve in stock. The bearings you can just cross reference to another bearing by using the old numbers off the race and bearing. Good luck.
