Question about HP PhotoSmart 7960 InkJet Printer
I'm trying to print a black and white picture with my old (2003), but rarely used photosmart printer. i put it in "grayscale" mode, but it's still drawing on the color cartridges, meaning that my print is coming out pink! I can take out the color cartridges, but then it prints in back-up mode, which is very pixilated. Any suggestions on how to fix this? I think it must be some kind of setting issue.
Sounds like its a expired ink issue. on alot of the hp photosmart printers the ink has a expirey date on the carts the best solution would be to contact hp and chances are they will send you free carts if your ink has been expired. when a black ink is almost out most of the time it trys to draw ink from the color carts mixing to make the appropriate color.
but you can also try the following.
See the instructions for
calibrating a print cartridge in
the Care and Maintenance
section of the HP Photosmart
