Question about Sony KV-20FV12 20" TV
The two problems are probably not related; color correction (if all are there-RGB) isn't a tough adjustment inside if the provided tint or color controls aren't effective. At least two of the three colors are adjustable and may be located on the CRT board plugged onto the jug. If you decide to try this yourself, be advised that somewhere between 20-25 THOUSAND volts are close by; on the board itself 60-100 volts typically meaning no metal tools allowed. Any electronics store will have a cheap set of plastic 'tuning tools.'
Dropping out completely could be troublesome to find unless it is a matter of a connector that is not contacting any longer.
This might be something you could try; after the set has been off and unplugged at least overnight, you could remove the back (normally ~ half-dozen or fewer screws), carefully pull each connector you see plugged into the board(s), one at a time, including the small board at the CRT base and plug them back in.
If you don't care to try these things or they don't work for you, I hope you know a retired TV repairman who will do it 'for a friend' since labor has become costly and some parts are either not available or expensive if from the manufacturer.
