Question about Sony PlayStation 2 Slimline Console
Well there is a few things to try but just from the description of the issue I am going to assume that its a motor hub assembly issue or a laser miss alignment.
but first off please try plugging the unit into another wall outlet and see if it happens again so that we can rule out and spike in the power.
secoundly insert a audio cd if it play 100% fine then we know its the laser assembly that needs to be fixed
if it dosent play fine the drive might need to be replaced
thirdly could just be a dirty laser on your unit.
cleaning this might help.
please list the model number on the back or the bottom of your unit so I can post proper ways for you to go about cleaning the laser assembly.
