I had the device working fine on SP2 but then SP3 was installed and
I had wlanapi.dll problems. So I downloaded and installed the new driver
from the D-Link website. Now when I plug in the device I get the
message "Wireless networks detected......to see the list and connect
click this message", but when I click it and get the 'Choose a Wireless
network' dialogue box it says that "No wireless networks were found in
range". I have uninstalled, installed, and tried everything I can think
of but still get the same result. The device is ok because it works on
another computer running SP2. My son installed SP3 for me and may have made other changes. Any suggestions - I am desperate!

D-Link gets a good signal from Actiontec DSL modem with wireless
gateway but can not connect to internet
You might have a problem with this one because it is a wirelss B card (10 mbs). Most networks are connected to wireless G(54 mbs). Some networks will allow b and g as mixed signals if the router was setup that way.
Thats one of the reasons why D-Link hasn't supported that card for about 4 years now. They have drivers for it on their ftp server but they probably don't work in Vista as well as SP3.
You should upgrade to a wireless G card. The Actiontec modem can be set for mixed b and g as well.
