Printer keep says replace fuser kit

These is a part on the fuser called a fusable link that blows the first power up cycle and resets the replace fuser message. It sounds like the fuser you installed is a remanufactured unit that was not professionally rebuilt. Contact the place of purchase and get a replacement. The message can only be reset with the fusable link on the fuser.

Error message saying ' fuser error' on my Hp laserjet p1102 recently puchased printer

> recently purchased

Then, the WARRANTY still should be valid. Exercise the warranty, to get it repaired, at minimal cost to you.

The "fuser" is a heating-element that _melts_ the dry toner-ink into the paper, to "fix" it.

So, a "fuser error" usually means that the heating-element is not working, or is not getting warm-enough.

I am getting a 50.7 fuser error on our hp 4500 laser printer. we tried pulling it out and putting it back in etc. we read that it may have something to do with the optical eyes underneath it? we are afraid...

Denotes a fault with the fuser drive motor or the fuser motion detection sensor (do not change the fuser)

Remove the fuser and check that it rotates freely.

This error can also be caused by a jammed fuser. Remove the cause of the jam if possible, if not replace the fuser.

50.2 fuser error

If you experience a "50.2" fuser error, you should check to see if two tabs on the fuser have come loose. (They can get dislodged during shipping or during istallation.)

Turn your printer off and remove your fuser. Flip it to the gear side (the left side) and press inwards on the fuser tab to make sure it is fully clicked in place, as shown below.

Then flip the fuser over to the right side (the non-gear side) and press in on the other fuser tab to make sure it is also fully clicked in place.

However what this 50.2 is telling you is the fuser is bad. You can re-seat the fuser, most likely you will need to replace the fuser.

Based on the manual :
50.9 High fuser temperature (sub-thermistor), or pressure release mechanism problem

I found this link on-line that will show you how to replace the fuser or re-seat it.

Low voltage power supply

What is the error message you are getting with the new fuser. Is this the same error you were getting before changing the fuser? If you changed the fuser because the old one was just at EOL ( end of life) but did not give you an error, have you tried to reinstall the old fuser.

It is possible that the new fuser was damaged in shipping, or not properly seated.

If both the new and old fuser give the same error message, then yes, I would agree that the LVPS would be the next part to replace, however, if they have different errors, then you probably have 2 bad fusers ( or one that is EOL, and one that was received damaged).

Before changing the LVPS, make sure you follow the steps below prior to the LVPS steps.
as far as where to purchase it if you do in fact need one, you can always do a google and ebay search for "Dell 5100cn LVPS".

I can provide you with replacement instructions if it comes to that.

See below for the actual troubleshooting needed for the fuser.
The following steps are the troubleshooting steps that should be followed for error code 010 397.
First, the definition of the failure is <IOT Fuser Failure>, and means a Fuser Error is detected.

1) With power off, reseat the fuser by physically removing it from the printer, then reinstalling it and locking it in place. Turn the power back on. ( if the error is still present, proceed to step 2 ).

2) If reseating the fuser did not resolve the problem, Replace the fuser with a known good fuser.
( if problem is not resolved, proceed to step 3)

3) Replace the LVPS ( low voltage power supply ). ( if problem not resolved, proceed to step 4 ).

4) Replace the PWBA MCU ( printed wiring board assembly - machine control unit ).

END of troubleshooting.........

"Low Heat Error"

Thats probably the best way to solve the solution. Sometimes if there is a thermistor that is causing the problem that can be serviceable in the fuser unit, that can be replaced instead of purchasing a whole new fuser assembly. It's less expensive replacing the thermistor.
