This happens to me too. It is not power source related. After a few seconds it will turn off again. Every now and then it will make it through and I can keep my computer on and it will be fine. I prevent it from going into Standby mode because the screen will not turn back on many times and I'm back to square one...

I have tried memory conflicts and removing components. None solve it. I am hoping my motherboard is not fried.

Another note... for some reason, when I power it on, the power button/computer does not try to turn on for a few seconds... There is a delay. ??? I am very confused.

This usually happens because the battery power is too low. Are you sure it is charged? Perhaps the DC power jack is damaged and it is not charging.

Try removing the battery and connecting your charger. Press power button for some seconds. Disconnect the charger, reinsert the battery and switch back on. Should work now. Else your power supply is faulty.

This might be an indication of a problem related to either the power adapter, the power cord, or the power receptacle in the laptop.
