Question about Acer Aspire 5610-4648 Notebook
My Acer Aspire 5720G with Windows Vista Premium OS comes with a built in Crystal Eye Camera. The camera is great for taking snapshots, but I want to take some videos and couldn't figure out how to do it. It seems that this camera does not support video recording, i couldn't find an icon of a video when i activated it. only the icon of a camera, trash, resolution, the setting for video capture properties, but not the video icon. do i need to install a new driver for it or it doesn't simply support it?
You can use windows movie maker to record a video its working on my xp but ihavent tried it on vista but you can use acer arcade delxeule it supports windows vista and xp you can find it on the cd which comes with your laptop if all this doesnt works run an acer e recovery

You do need a driver, have you checked to see if you have one by trying to install new hardware and see if your PC finds one? The acer site is having problems. I have not been able to download anything there in a week.
Once you have the driver installed you can make movies this way:
Click 'start' > Computer > C:drive > Windows > SUYIN NB Cam > Then Right Click LiveCam, Choose Send to Desktop (as shortcut) After launching, you will have to manually activate your mic, cam, record mic, and time limit preferences each time you record a video. I am going to look for the driver elsewhere.I'll get back to you on that.
