Hi, i own a PRINCESS deluxe coffee maker and grinder. i don't have the user manual anymore. there appeared a symbol in the LCD window and i don't know what it means. where could i download a user manual? this princess coffee maker is very similar to one of the philips models. however, in the philips user guide the symbol in question is not mentioned.

Some Miele machines have a lever to adjust the grind coarseness. Page 27 of the manual below. I would also give it a good clean beforehand to check there is nothing in there that shouldn't be.

Juani, can you use ground coffee in your machine. Then go and find the grinder and put some coffee beans in and grind them.

Your grinder has seperated. The cork screw in the center is not centered. Grinder needs to be replaced. If you want one let me know.

The machine does not need lubrication, not even on the coffee grinder. If gears lubrication is needed, that is exceptional, and must be performed by the technician. Normally the machine must not be lubricated.
Regular maintenance includes cleaning and descaling, follow instructions from page 34 on the user manual downloadable here.

There are more than a few things that can cause weak coffee.
Grind is too coarse. It should look like coarse sugar.
You cleaned the brew unit and left a part out or put it in incorrectly.
Grind adjustment is set too high. Turn to a lower # while the grinder is operating.
Grinder is been taken apart and not put back together correctly.
Grinder is broken and the grinds are just big chunks.

If you have the Delux or Digital there are 2 knobs in the bean hopper. Turn the small knob back 1 mark and see if that will help.

Make sure you not get any water in the grinder, if you get water in the grinder then it bean smeary and will not grind the beans.

You have to clean the grinder if you get any moisten in it.
