Question about Lexmark C510n Laser Printer
Printer displays SVC L1 ERROR after maintenance exercise, and after further maintenance, the error code says "SVC LL ERROR"
My Lexmark C500 laser printer recently experienced an improper maintenance procedure regarding some spilled toner inside of the equipment. The printer was functioning fine however the pic roller wasn't taking the paper so we decided to give the printer a complete maintenance clean up. Upon disassembly we discovered waste toner blocking the return hose feed that leads out into the toner waste bottle. Rather than using a special vacuum for toner, we used a blower and a large cloud of toner was ejected from the waste line and inside the compartment, I identified this as the mistake. Dangerous and messy. The parts were reassembled according to specification, the printer was turned on and after the test cycle and the warmup, the printer stops and displays an error "SVC L1 ERROR". So the C500 was torn apart again for closer inspection and we discovered many sensors and electrical contacts were invaded by the wasted toner. We cleaned up all of these dirty sensors and cable connection points throughly. After reassembly, the printer shows a new code "SVC LL ERROR".
I checked the motor of the rotational mirror inside the laser assembly and it is functioning. the lenses were cleaned and free of the toner dust.
Please help with a procedure recommendation, we need to keep this printer around a few more months because we just stocked it up with 4 new toner cartridges and it would be a sad wasted to toss out into the garbage heap of our wonderful planet.
Thanks in Advance,
The S.C. Team
As i'm sure you already know the error means -
Laser power is lower than the output limit.
It's probably due to a bad contact on the engine board. If you would like the service manual it can be downloaded from the following link free of charge http://www.eserviceinfo.com/equipment_mfg/Lexmark_22.html any problems come back to me.
