I put this motherboard in a different case and now I need the mb schematics to hook it all back up Dell Inspiron 518 with intel G33 motherboard..the case went bad

It is rare that you actually need schematics to hook up a motherboard in a new case. If you look closely at the connections on the motherboard there is white lettering to let you know where to hook up what connectors.

PWR for power, SATA 0 for the first sata device, etc. If this does not help let me know and I will find the manual or document you need.

Hooking up case wires to motherboard: ECS M925

If you look at this picture, the pins on the motherboard should be on the far left below the brown slot and above the white connector. The pins on the board are marked with tiny white letters HDD, PWR, RST, SPKR. The USB connection on the board may require a separate header, I can't find a manual to see for sure.

Computer wont boot

Possible reasons:
1) short circuit between board and case. Check fastening and screws.
2) Poor contact to RAM and video card. Clean the pins by alcogol.

Computer shutting down.

Hi tenbear8, I checked the bios date for the motherboard. I'm guessing this board came out in late 2005. Asus warrants their boards for three years. With this in mind it’s worth a call to Asus tech. Open you're case & find the white sticker on the LPT port. Write down the information there. Call Asus M-F 8:00AM to 5:00PM EDT. The number is 1-812-282-2787. You will not be on the phone very long before a tech picks up. (Free support).
The tech will want the information you wrote down from the sticker.
In the mean time update you're bios with the latest flash.
Bios number 0809, it has a fix for CPU string correction in the bios. It may just do the trick.
Click here for the link to P5VDC-MX download site.
http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?modelname=P5VDC-MX&SLanguage=en-us
Download the bios file & download the Bios Utilities.
Either way it will not hurt to call Asus even if the bios flash fix's the system. The more information you can get from Asus the better. (They know their boards better than anyone).
If you're board is bad Asus will know & if it’s still in warranty you're looking at receiving a replacement board. Nothing to loose & everything to gain.

Good luck tenbear8!
Please let me know how things work out with Asus.

Hi swiftty6, you can download the manual for this board from this link. http://global.msi.com.tw/index.php?func=downloaddetail&type=manual&maincat_no=1&prod_no=558

Than go to pg. 2-18 for a better picture showing these case connections.

How to rewire my mother board

Ok so from what I have read you want to rebuild your computer by putting in the old mobo back in? If that isn't what's going on then I am sorry this won't help much.
http://www.wikihow.com/Install-a-Motherboard
There are some little Brass stubs that come with most cases. They have a threaded pole on one side and a threaded hoel on the other. You need to make sure that they are lined up with the screw holes on the motherboard. ONLY USE AS MANY LITTLE BRASS THINGS AS THERE ARE SCREW HOLES IN YOUR MOBO. These act as grounds for the mobo. AND DO NOT PLUG IN THE POWER TO THE MOTHERBOARD UNTIL YOU HAVE SECURED ALL OF THE SCREWS INTO TEH BRASS NUBS. IF YOU DO PLUG IT IN AND TURN IT ON BEFORE THEN IT WILL FRY THE MOTHER BOARD. Sorry about the capslock but I really need to stress those points. Hope that helps
