well im happy to say that 1000 series are easy to mod! Here is the Deal!
Sony discovered that they could repair a psps firmware and functions using the battery to by-pass the security features! What this tells us is that we can install custom firmware on a psp!
So you have to make ur phat psp battery into a pandoras battery! here is the issue with this! I never made my battery into a panodra! i had a friend mod my psp! in that process he made my phat battery into a pandora battery! so now alli do, is install the pandora files which this site help me get! http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/688507 five comments down
this site also provides all the tools you need t mod ur psp! what im concered about is that the program it provides to make a ur battery into a pandoras may not be able to work until you install modded software! understand.... the program works on mine only because i installed the modded software with pandora battery then ran to make other phats pandora batterys! so yo u have to make a pandoras battery try to find programs that run and will intsall pandora files ofr a phat battery threw usb connection on the psp
custom firmware is a hack of the original firmware that allows you to play pirated psp games, ps1 games and emulators of old consoles and games like nintendo and sega, it also allows special appilcations to be run.
To get custom firmware you need a pandora battery (which is possible to make) and a memory stick with certain files on it.
check pspiso.com to get what you need
Nice try, but this does not apply to his or this psp. aka the 3000 series (lite). As of now there is no hack for the lite psp. The solution that chris is posting is for the phat or og psp that first came out. The 1000 series. You cannot go back to 1.50 on a slim psp. Because there was none made with 1.50fw. If you try to downgrade your psp you will brick (kill) your psp. The only way you can d/l games is through sony's psn store and there all psx (PS1 games). And you have to pay. Any more question pls feel free to ask.
Hey mygz43, Unfortunately, there is no direct way to convert PS1 games over to your PSP without altering the system’s firmware and possibly violating several end-user license agreements in the process. Sony does however, support a function of the PSP called "remote play" that allows you to play content that is currently loaded into a Playstation 3 you own over a WLAN, home network or via internet access. Typically this means that you would need to physically have a PS1 disc in the PS3 in order to play it, though content that is stored on the PS3's hard drive can also be played as well. Please remember though that not all PS3 models are backwards compatible to the PS1, and some titles may encounter graphical glitches or playback errors. If you would like more information on this function, I would strongly suggest checking out Sony's support page for further details and step-by-step instructions: http://manuals.playstation.net/document/en/psp/current/network/remoteplay/ Hope this helps you out.
