Kenmore HE3 model#11092822101 Gas dryer turns on, ignitor glows and stays on, dosn't light, dryer turns itself off after 20 seconds and smells burnt. I have checked for any restictions all clear with free flow to outside. I removed the gas valve coils and tested them, both give 1300 ohms with multimeter. What should I test next?

Probably a high limit fuse. Check on the burner shroud for a 2 wire thermos. They should have little resistance. If so replace. If they are open, check for a restricted vent. Remove front panel and clean out area below filter.

SOURCE: Kenmore Dryer only lights gas sporaticly

replace the igniter. The ignitor is the most comon problem with gas appliances checking continuity does not tell you if it is bad or not it has to draw a certain amount of amps to open the gas safty valve and the is no safe way to check this on most gas dryers

SOURCE: on my 4 year old Kenmore elite dryer the ignitor glows and

HI, Check your 4" vent to the outside and make sure it is clean and that it has no kinks.
Any restriction to the outside will cause the dryer to short cycle. All thermostats must have continuity. With the dryer running, remove the lint screen and check to see if there is good air flow by putting your hand in where the filter goes (it is safe). You should feel air rushing past your hand if the vent is clear.
I hope this helps you. Please let me know if I can assist you further.

Kenmore gas dryer #41793142300 electronic start doesnt heat up

if you first have heat and then like 10 to 20 minutes later no heat you could have bad gas coils,on most gas dryers there's a plastic cap you can pop off on the front panel so you can look in and see the ignitor,if at first the ignitor glows orange and the flame lights then after a few minutes the ignitor glows orange and the flame doesn't light you have bad gas coils, they are located on the top of the gas valve, easy to change.part number 5303931775 go here and look at part 71

The ignitor glows but seems the gas coils are bad on my Kenmore HE3 dryer that runs but no heat.

Yes sir, if the ignitor is working, and the burner won't light, then the problem is likely bad gas valve coils. They recommend that if any are suspected of being faulty that they all be changed at the same time. Sorry for your trouble and best wishes.

Sears kenmore gas dryer 417.92052101does not stay lit.

Watch the burner assembly, shortly after starting the dryer the ignitor should begin to glow. If it glows for several seconds (up to 15 seconds) and then goes out, then the problem is probably the solenoids (coils). If the ignitor glows and stays on, then the problem is usually the flame sensor.

Maytag gas dryer runs but does not heat

If yo smelled gas then the ignitor may not be working.
First thing to check is the ignitor underneath the drum. (You have to open the panel to see it)  It should glow shortly after the dryer starts, then the flame starts and the ignitor shuts off.  If the ignitor does not glow then the thermostat is bad.  If the ignitor is glowing but the gas does not light then the gas valve coils may have to be replaced.   If the gas ignites but does not stay on either the flame sensor or the coils are at fault.

Maytag gas dryer wont stay hot

Check the exhaust to see if it is clogged. If not, you may need a pair of gas valve coils (not very hard.)
Replace the coils if you see the ignitor glow and shut off, without the gas valve opening up.
