Hi grillkiller,

Without being privvy to the previous conversation, I suspect it was meant that the heating elements are held in-place during normal operation, and due to some problem have become "unseated" - out-of-position and either not-working, or not working right.

If you need replacement parts, I'd recommend going to the Salton, Inc. customer service website.

Go to

http://prc.prodregister.com/prodprotect/applica/

And click on "George Foreman" (lower-right portion of the page), it redirects you to a secure webpage where you can register.

https://secure.prodregister.com/prodprotect/applica/gf.shtml

Part of the page reads:
"Call toll-free or visit our websites for assistance if you need more help.

Parts & Accessories:
Phone: 1-800-738-0245 (Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., ET)

Product Warranty:
Service: 1-800-231-9786 (Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m., ET)"

If I can be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it accordingly.

Thanks in-advance for using Fixya.com,

Jon

Grill buzzing

No, a buzzing noise merely means that something is vibrating from the magnetic field that is created when power flows through the heating elements. As long as nothing is obviously loose, the grill is safe to use.

G5 indoor grill

Go to the "esalton" website directly and click on the "G5" grill and then go to "buy now" and after you go there it should have a "parts list" near the bottom left hand side and click on "GO" and it will have all the parts you should need for your grill that you can order directly from the company. Try the website I have below it should take you straight there. GOOD LUCK http://www.esalton.com/cgi-bin/2456CCAD/mac/qryitems.mac/itemDisplay mariep070@bellsouth.net

With the unit unplugged, check the elements to see if one has become unseated. A gentle push should seat them. Some elements are plug in & can come unseated.
