We have had this TV for 18 months so I understand that the warranty period is expired and that the chances of getting help from Polaroid are slim to none. We were watching the Olympics this morning and all the sudden the TV turned off and wouldn't turn back on. The LED that tells you when it is off or on (red or blue) won't even come on. We checked all of the power cords and the surge protector - we even swapped the tv's power cord into an outlet of the dvd player which was definitely getting power - but that didn't work either. What shoudl I do? Is my only option to take it to Sears?
Usually TV's have that period of time where they'll turn off after an hour or two of no one pressing a button. If the problem persists, You could get another one and return the old one with the new one's receipt.

polaroid flm 3232 tv wont turn on at all nothing.no standby light anything. there is a clicking noise coming from the back of the tv. i pinpointed it to the power supply board.looks like a square black transformer. is there a way to check if the power is not getting through the board? should i bring it somewhere and have it tested and where? if it is a transformer or a capacitor i will fix it myself instead of going round and round the polaroid runaround.i would like to see if i can fix it cheap.i have already purchased another tv anyway . thanks
I am also having the same issue with my 3232 Polaroid LCD. I was watching TV and it just turned off. Now I can not get it to turn on and the red LED is no longer displaying. I checked the outlet , the surge projector and it seems all are working fine. I read somewhere about it possibly being related to a fuse, but not sure. Any ideas on how to fix?
Tv turns off by itself, usually I can plug it into a different plug and it will start working again but now it will not. The TV is only a bit over year old.

Thanx, pmason
