Audio quit working, what could be wrong?

If muting is not on, and your volume control is at a reasonable level, then something has gone wrong with the audio portion of your television.

Just to be on the safe side check all of your audio settings - on some sets there is a setting for turning off the internal speakers of set - check for that also.

My speakers are not working in my computer but I plug them into my phone and they worked> I have these speakers for awhile and they were working find what happen

First, check the Control Panel for your computer. This may be reached in various different ways, depending on what OS you use, or if you use a Windows or a Mac. Make sure that all of your audio settings are normal, and that nothing has gotten accidentally muted. It may seem silly, but it is easy for these settings to be tweaked, so it's best to be sure.
Next, make sure that nothing is wrong with the place where your speakers plug into your computer; is it very dusty? Does anything seem jammed, or does it seem to otherwise be working normally? Your computer may need a cleaning.

My advueu monitor has built in speakers which are not working now. do not know what is wrong

First--have the speakers worked before? If so, be sure the speaker wire is plugged into the green hole on the back of the computer and also plugged into the monitor.
Is there a volume control on the monitor? If so, be sure it's turned up.
Are you speakers muted? Check in the sounds icon in the control panel (there could also be a little picture of a speaker in the system tray. Many times people mute the speakers and forget they did it.
Also in the sounds area of the control panel, be sure the volume is turned up.

Compaq Presario v2000 ALTEC LANSING speakers not working

Go to "Start", "Control Panel", Administrative Tools, Computer Management, click on "Device Manager" on the left hand side and look on the right hand side. See if you have a yellow exclamation next to the "Sounds, Video and Game Controllers". If yes, double-click on the line with the exclamation and then click on the driver tab at the top. Click update driver and when it asks if you would like to to check the internet for updated drivers, tell it yes, this time only and continue. After this process, it should either download and install a new driver for your sound card or install the one that was shipped with your computer. If this does not work, please let me know and we will check the next possible problem.

Please remember to rate this solution.
