Recently bought a 1GB Memory Unit from Kingston Check compatablity in stuff-Uk.net and was confirm that this would be the correct unit i have been running the unit along side the existing Unit purchased within the laptop however a couple of days ago the memory in the secondary slot stopped working i removed the secondary stick and the machine runs on 1gb but this is no where near good enough the machine gets battered on a 1gb memory as it has Vista Home Basic. i have updated my Bios and checked all the drivers and i'm upto date. could the slot need cleaning after just 2 months?

Have to tried to run both sticks in the slot thats working 1 at a time to check theres not a problem with the ram itself, try moving the 1 thats working now into the other slot and see if it works, then try the other stick of ram

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

I have a Biostar Motherboard K8M800-M7A and i just recently bought a kingston ram memory 1GB 400mhz KVR400X64C3A. Everywhere i look for on the internet says they are compatible but i dont get them to work....

Hello,
You are correct, this motherboard can use either 333mhz DDR (PC2700) or 400mhz DDR (3200) chips.
You may have a bad chip. Also make sure you are not mixing this chip with another of another speed. Its not good practise to mix 333mhz and 400mhz though some motherboards will still work like that.
Your best bet for compatibility is crucial DDR PC3200 • CL=3 • Unbuffered • NON-ECC • DDR400 • 2.6V • 128Meg x 64 •
Personally I have had bad luck with kingston ram myself.

My Averatec A3300 does not like the 1GB memory module which I used to replace the supplied 512MB unit. The computer becomes unstable and invariably ''hangs''. The 1GB module used was the one recommended by...

Sounds like the memory stick isn't compatable/wrong voltage or is faulty.A bios upgrade you can get at the Averatec website support but its unlikely it will help though.

I have a Gigabyte-GA-8SIMLNF motherboard and recently bought 2gb (2*1gb)of pc2100 DDR and am getting the no ram beep,it is labeled ecc ramwill this not work?

Hi,
Your motherboard does not support ECC RAM. You'll have to buy a PC2100 nonECC DDR RAM. Also, it supports a maximum of 2 GB RAM, i.e; 2 RAMs each of 1GB in each slot.

Hope this answers your query. Thanks.

Can't format sd card and keep being told to insert disc in unit

Dear,
Please check the same card on different PC with update antivirus. If the response is same, then the problem is in the card. You must visit the service centre or go for new card.

SD card

I have the same camera, save the colour (black). As soon as I read your post, an alarm went off. I decided to re-check my User Guide (PDF Eng version, page16), for the Lumix DMC-FZ30:
•On this unit, you can use SD Memory Cards of the following capacity (from 8 MB to 2 GB). Please confirm the latest information on the following website:
http://panasonic.co.jp/pavc/global/cs
(This Site is English only.) • This unit supports SD Memory Cards formatted in FAT12 system and FAT16 system based on SD Memory Card Specifications. • This unit does not support MultiMediaCard for recording motion pictures. • The reading/writing speed of a MultiMediaCard is slower than an SD Memory Card. When a MultiMediaCard is used, the performance of certain features may be slightly slower than advertised. • After recording motion pictures using the MultiMediaCard, the card access indication may appear for a while, but this is not a malfunction. • Keep the Memory Card out of reach of children to prevent swallowing.
8MB, 16MB, 32MB, 64MB, 128MB, 256MB, 512MB, 1GB, 2GB (Maximum)

Sandisk 1gb microsd problems

The music might not be in the correct format. Does your phone play MP3s? Another thing might be the DRM problem with the MP3s. I had this problem once and had to strip the DRM stuff out of the MP3 before my phone would recognize it.

Toshiba a105-s101 memory install boot issue

Check your owners manual to see if the laptop will support 2GB of ram. If not you will need to use 2 512mb sticks to get to 1 GB

Memory/RAM

you are probably not using the correct type of memory, if you just bought a 1 gb stick, Laptops are pretty picky about what memory they use, check the Kingston Memory configurator to find out the max installable mem and which mem is correct to use.  http://www.kingston.com/ukroot/default.asp  use the Memory search feature on the right of the page to get you started

Toshiba satellite is a seperate section in the configurator, so choose that line to get more choices
