my 60'' Philips rear projection has a power problem. When I unplug it for awhile (weeks/months) it will turn on but auto turn off after a short amount of time relative to how long it sat unused. It works in the summer but not winter. Right now it wont turn on or it will turn off quickly and not turn back on. Im very far away from a repair person so if I cant attempt this myself I will need unload it on someone else. (Manuf. 6/12/01)

Received from a friend. worked fine at their place. transported to ours and now the colors are really off. We tried to adjust them manually, but nothing seems to work. Sometimes the pciture is too red, then it's too blue. whites glow way too bright.

I have a 60P8342 projection tv. When I turn it on you can watch it for about 2hrs then it shuts itself off as if it gets hot, then after it cools down about an hour later it will turn back on but doesn't stay on long. Is there anything that I can do myself to fix it.
