Netgear wireless usb adapter wg111. I installed it on my granddaughter's lap-top (was mine) it worked fine at my house. But at hers it wouldn't connect. I un-installed & re-installed and the wizard led me though set-up . It shows I am connected to my daughters network(verizon) I validated connection ,use her password etc. The symbol on tashbar shows green ,it says connected but when I try to go to any web page it say I'm working off-line

Hello,

If it says "Working Offline" in the corner. You just need to un-check that feature.

To do this, open Internet explorer and either click File in the top left corner or Tools in the upper right. Then click the option "Work Offline" so that it it not checked.

After that, verify that you have the browser set to use a LAN connection by clicking Tools > Internet Options > Connections and then choose "Never Dial a Connection" then choose OK. Then you will need to close and reopen the browser.

That should allow you surf web pages again.

Thanks

Netgear WG111 issue

The error you get from Windows about the digital signature is normal. This only means that windows hasn't tested and approved it. just as the Netgear guys will tell you, the wireless adapter is compatible and will work fine. When you get that message, you'll usually allow it or continue with the installation.

you can refer to this link for the system requirements of your Wireless adapter:
