You must go to the menu under parental settings and disable it. Usually the default password is 0000 or 1234 or something similar. If you have changed the password and forgotten it I think LG uses 7777 as the master key. This should allow you in to change the password to something else. If you have the manual, all this info should be inside. Hope this helps.

1. Unplug the TV for about 10 minutes.
2. Before plugging it back in, press and hold the main Power On/Off button for about 10 seconds. Release the button.
3. Plug the TV back in.
4. Turn the TV set on normally. If it is now unlocked - it should start automatically scanning for active inputs (so be sure you have the input signal source connected). If you now have control of your set and can use the front panel buttons - great. If not, you should consult your owners manual if you dont have one,you'll probably have to search on-line for a downloadable copy of the owner's manual. You can also contact LG Customer Service. They may be willing to help you.
