Change the settings of your router if your laptop is using wpa change the security setting wireless connection of your router to wpa... their are many categories of security settings ex. wpa, wpa2, radius, wep, etch.... first configure thE WPA OF YOUR LOPTOP.. Did your ISP Boingo supply you with a DSL or cable modem with a built-in wireless router? If only a DSL or cable modem is supplied and you wish to connect to the Internet by wireless then you need to connect a wireless router to this DSL or cable modem.

D-link DIR-625 wireless router is setup and wired to laptop

First of all make sure the Wireless switch in your Laptop is turned on.

Now Disconnect the cable from the Laptop to the Wireless router

Now go to your Wireless Network connection and search for the available network. Select the appropriate network and connect.

Connecting laptop/computer to wireless router
If you have a wireless router and it is connected to the DSLor cable modem and Internet then -To connect to your wireless router, the router needsits wireless settings to be configured with the SSID, encryption key etc., alsothe wireless cards and wireless adapters in all the laptops/computers needs tobe configured with these router's wireless settings. Then the laptops/desktopcomputers can communicate with your wireless router and access the Internet via the DSLor cable modem.

If you get a 'Limited connectivity" on you wirelessconnection on your laptop, it means that the wireless card on your laptopprobably did not get an IP address from the wireless router.
To fix this problem, right click on the wireless icon on the Task bar and thenclick Repair.
This will force the wireless router to issue a IP address to the wireless cardon the laptop.

have you setup the wireless connection in between the printer and the laptop...
your laptop is working wirelessly with the internet but for making the printer to use it wirelessly the printer should be also a wireless printer.

and if the printer is a wireless printer then you have to setup the connection in between the printer & laptop to work wirelessly.

are you connecting the laptop hard wired or wirelessly?

for wired connection, just plug the ethernet cable from the router to the laptop and it should work fine.

for the wireless connection, check on the wireless network connection. for xp, click on start> control panel> network connections> right click wireless network connection> then click on view available wireless network> then select your network.. for secure wireless connection, type the security key then click connect. :-)

If your laptop has a wireless capability you should be able to connect to the wireless network of your router, just view the available wireless network select the wireless name of your router and connected to it if it already say connected try to disconnect the ethernet cable from your laptop and access the internet wirelessly..........
