Tuning VCR into Tv

I don't know how to tune VCR into TV so I can tape programes when I'm out
Can you help please (Sorry, website kept rejecting my question saying "Please enter a valid product". They don't want to accept my Samsung TV or Philips VCR.)

Similar problem. Trying to tune VCR to
new LCD TV and getting nowhere. I know it's do-able as millions have
succeeded. My LCD is SAMSUNG
LA19R71B and my VCR is Philips
VR499/75. I have the manuals for both
but tricky to understand.
I suspect I may
have got off on the wrong foot when I
connected the cables. Here is what I did:
I plugged the antenna into the VCR. Then connected the VCR to the LCD with
the short RF coaxial cable. Then plugged
in the AC power leads for both
and switched on. These were the
instructions in the Philips manual,
but they were for connecting VCR to old
-style TV. (Don't know if this is how it
should be done for modern LCD TVs). I next went to the Source List on LCD to make a selection but it only showed TV and no other options.
I'm not blond but sure feel it right now.
Would love to get this tuning thing
achieved. Hope you can help.

Set the LCD to TV source and tune the LCD TV channel to 3 or 4.

For best viewing experience, you should connect the LCD TV to the VCR using component / SVideo or RCA cables instead of RF coxial to avoid signal loss. Your VCR manual should indicate these types of connections.

I have an older Phillips VCR which I am tryuing to get tape playback through to my older sanyo small tv. Can you tell me how to please,

Either you can use the composite signals which is to connect the video out / audio OUT from your VCR to the video /audio IN of the TV and choose the input select to be LINE IN or VIDEO IN.
If there is no input then you can connect the RF OUT from the VCR and play a tape or use the test signal found on many sets on the RF panel. Now tune the TV, manual is better or the entire presetted TV channels will be erased off. Once the signal is found it will be memorised.
Hope you get this right.

My mother had a very old Tatung tv TUTC52G, no scart socket. Trying to tune it in to receive Freeview through a Panasonic VCR. Can't get anything

I would purchase a £19.99 freeview receiver with RF out and use that directly into the TV, or through the Video if you wish. Play a tape and make sure the Video is tuned in then run freeview and tune that in to the TV AND the video recorder. You will then be able to record and/or watch a programme.

I own a older model citizen tv vcr combo. it is the box style and i cant watch any channels on it. the only channel it allows me to view is ch 2. i can watch a movie aswell. also if there is not a movie...

You need to autoprogram your channels with the Remote that came with the VCR combo. The Tape issue is common with many older TV VCR combo units. Put a tape in that is rewound and hit stop and then tune in your channels.

I'm not sure how to connect my Toshiba SE-R0346 to my Sanyo TV. I plugged the cable line into the "Antenna in" port & then another cable line from "Antenna Out" to my TV. If I...

Exactly as you have done is fine all you need to do now is play the tape, (so you know what to look for when it is displayed on the screen), decide which channel you want to view the vVCR through, say 9, select the channel and set the TV to search tune on that channel. Store it when your taped programme appears.
Alternatively, have the set up as you have described and press auto install. That will retune the whole of the TV and include the VCR.
Hope this helps.

I have an older but operable Sanyo VWM-700 4 head hi-fi VCR to connect to an older but operable 13" TV just to watch workout video cassettes(via cable, no cable box necessary). How are the connections made...

You connect the Antenna to the VCR, you connect the AV OUT from VCR to AV IN on TV.(Yellow, Red & White) (Doesn't matter as long as color to color) Then you TUNE the VCR to the channels and the TV simply acts as a monitor. You must tune the TV to the OUTPUT from the VCR. If ya play a tape and look for the signal on the TV, to "Tune it in" to the VCR. first. then go to tuner.

How do I manually tune a Samsung P2370HD to my VCR so that I can watch videotapes?

Hello,

Do you mean to switch from TV to DVD/VCR input? If so, use the remote control and then toggle between the INPUT or the TV/AV key.

Make sure that the RCA cables from the VCR are connected to the TV correctly.

Kindly provide more information so that we can help you further.

Samsung 2333HD to dvd/vcr combo

Hi there,

On a DVD/VCR combo unit....the Component Output (RED, GREEN, BLUE) is exclusive to the DVD player section only (VCR can only output analogue source) and will only be able to view DVD.

To watch VCR, you will need to connect to your TV via Composite (YELLOW) cable, into the Yellow AV input on your TV. You can then tune the VCR section to match your TV's RF input (if you prefer this connection).

Good luck...

No signal

Try video input using a dvd - if you are using a digital cable box (or satellite) use the a/v outputs (yel red wht wires)to hook to video in of TV. If you are using standard cable hook the cable through a vcr if available and hook the a/v of the vcr to video in of the tv.
Otherwise is tv(to be used) on Ch3?
The TV tuner may be defective.
If this helped Vote/rate me.
