Magic Comfort Plus making thin coffee

When I try to make coffee, (All sizes of cups) the result is only lightbrown water.

It's the same result, when I use pregrained coffe or beans.

What can I do?

I just buy it. It seems to be pretty old.

I will try to clean it and see if it helps.

    What is "descaling"?

  • JanusHoi Aug 11, 2008

Now i tried to clean the brewing unit.

I tried real hard, but it still only make thin coffee..

One time it maked a drinkable cup of coffee, when i used a spoon of pregrained beans.

But only one time it happened.

  • JanusHoi Aug 11, 2008

I will try that, but if that will help me, should'nt the coffee i make with pregrained beans be perfect every time?

  • JanusHoi Aug 11, 2008

Okay. Thank you. I will try.

    I appriciate your help

I had this problem and it ended up being the grinder.  i called to get support from the parent company and they sent me instructions that explained how to adjust the grinder.  the instructions included pictures as an aid also.  ultimately, it was a simple fix that took, perhaps, 30 mins or so.  give that a try also.

    Hi,

If you get in the meny then you have to scroll in the meny to you find decalcify. press ok there to start the process.

make sure you have a big bowl under the steam pipe when you do this.

    Hope this will help you.

    Hi,

Try to set the grinder to grind finer, if it is on "8" then set it to "4" and make 3-4 cup of coffee to get the new settings to work. If you have the grinder to coarse then you will get light coffee.

    Hope this will help you.

If the pregrained beans is fine the you will have a good espresso.

If they are fine and you not get good espresso then i think the problem is in your brewing unit.

Hope you will get your machine to work, that is a fine machine.

Coffee pours very slowly

An espresso should take 25 seconds to dispense, long coffee takes longer unless you pour an espresso into 1/2 cup of hot water (or the other way round). It could be the grind is too fine hence extraction is proving difficult. Try making the grinder setting to more coarse. More info in link

Please help

The Magic Comfort Plus machine has a selection for the temp through the menu for the three sizes of coffees buttons. Using the menu button, scroll through until you come to temp section, then select the coffee size button and and change the temp, example-- Select maximum. Press the menu button to set it.

If that does not help, when a machine gets full of calcium (needs descaling) that also will lower the temp. You might have to descale it three-four times.

And remember, when you descale, run the solution through the steam/hot water wand and also the espresso/coffee dispensing nozzle. Only doing it through the steam wand (like the manual says) will only do 1/2 of the machines water sections!!! I usually run 1 cup of solution through the steam wand and 3-4 cups through the espresso dispenser.

Making Espresso shots... how does the macine do this? Not in man

www.partsguru.com look to the left for Saeco Home Models, select that, then go the model you have and download the manual.

On a magic comfort it has two settings for adjusting the espresso shot besides the amount of the shot. .

On a magic comfort plus,
you can adjust the grind size, the amount used for the shot, preinfusion (a short shot of hot water on the grinds before the unit passes all the water through the puck (coffee grinds), temperature and amount of water for shot

Also, when setting the strength on this machine, don't use a full grind amount as it can jam the machine. use a setting of 6 or 7 max for strong shots, not the 8 or 9 setting!!!

Electonic display will not change on a Siemens Expresso machine

I have had this problem with our coffee machine as well some how the machine has sucked air into the system and needs to get it out.

To ventilate the machine turn the dial on top of the 'magic comfort' sign (the one for the froth) and place a glass underneath. Keep the dial turned till the sign ventilate goes away then close the dial.

This process has always worked for me...

Thanks
