The USB pen has to be FAT32 and all the files from the zip have to be in th root directory of the pen drive

Unplug your Emprex with the USB plugged into it, then while holding down the power button plug the emprex back in, keep holding the power button down until the screen changes from loading to the updating page, usually you have to hold the power button down for a around 15 seconds then the update starts, once it starts updating let go off the power buton and let it do its thing

Samsung blue ray player not working after being unplugged while updating

Go to Samsung's website here:

http://www.samsung.com/us/support/downloads/BD-C6500/XAA

and click on FIRMWARE.
Download that file and unzip it to your desktop.
Copy the unzipped file to a flash drive and remove flash drive.
Make sure your Bluray is plugged in and turned on, with NO DISC in it.
Plug in the flash drive into the Bluray player jack.
A popup will come up onscreen saying NEW SOFTWARE IS AVAILABLE.
Click on YES (or OK) and it will replace the firmware.

THERE IS A PRETTY GOOD CHANCE THE UNIT IS DEAD.
BUT THIS PROCEDURE MIGHT REVIVE IT FOR YOU!!

Hello
Enter these sites for fudate your Maranz.

www.buyblurayplayers.com/firmware-updates/how-to-update-your-firmware

www.avforums.com/.../765663-marantz-firmware-updates-sr7002.html - United Kingdom
softwaretopic.informer.com/firmware-update-tool/

I'll ge you some hints also

Open the Internet browser and navigate to the Marantz.com website. Select "Products," then choose "DVD Players."

Select the DVD player you are currently using, then select "Manuals and Downloads." This lists all of the available updates for the Marantz DVD player.

Click the software update to download to your computer system

Plug the USB flash drive into a USB port on the computer, then click "Start," "(My) Computer," then double-click the removable device icon. A window loads with all of the files stored on the flash drive.

Click-and-drag the software update into the open window, then close the window, right-click the removable device icon and select "Eject."

Disconnect the flash drive from the computer once the icon disappears.

Plug the USB flash drive into the USB port on the rear of the Marantz DVD player, then power on the device. The software update will upload onto the DVD player. A prompt on the television screen appears once the update has finished.

I need to upgrade my blu ray player - won't play new blu ray discs

If you are using the BRDVD there is only one update and it is a few months old. They are adding new security features to new Bluyray discs this month and all players out there need to be updated. The unfortunate side of the BRDVD is that Insignia is refusing to update the player although Funai(the comany that has made the player for them) has released a update that would work with it with little work by insignia.

To help get this player updated it would be good to go to the forums here and post that you still use this player. We got a update the first time so it should be possible to get another.

Good luck and enjoy this little player.

Will not play blu ray discs but will play ordinary dvd's

You need the firmware update. You need to download it from here...
http://www.sharpusa.com/CustomerSupport/ProductDownloads/SoftwareDownloads.aspx
and save it to a usb flash drive that is between 1-2 gigs in storage with no other files saved on to it. insert the flash drive into your blu ray player and select " software update" from the settings menu.

I've downloaded a firmware update for my Aquos BD- HP20 Blu-ray player.  Unzipped the zip file and I put the .RVP file onto a Sony memory stick but when I try to get the player to recognize I file on the...

today i solved following errors on sharp blu-ray hp20 when updating software to play quantum of solace:

can't detect software: due to .rvp file being inside a folder--not in root directory on usb stick

more than one software file detected by player: .rvp hasn't been properly unzipped. the 2 gb disc and, as far as i could tell, my system (imac os 10.5.6) showed successfully extracted SINGLE file ready for transfer to dvd player, but dvd player said that there was more than one file. erased the 2 gb disc with disc first aid utility as part of exercise. also verified FAT format on 2 gb disc. only after i used a downloaded free mac utility *specifically for extracting ZIP files* to transfer the .rpv file to the 2 gb disc did the dvd player recognize the file and i successfully updated the player's software! (sorry for the run on, i think the logic is accurate)

Blu-Ray player not reading Blu-Ray movie

I had the same problem - Fix - Go to the sharp web site and download the file HP21U_HP50U_PN902270. You will need to make sure your thumb drive is no bigger than 4gb and you do not have any other files on it. Once you download the file on the thumb drive, you will need to unzip the file on the same thumb drive. The zip file is one of the new ones, so you might need to go to the web and get a shareware program that will open it. After this - turn your player on and go to setting, next scroll down to update firmware, insert the drive and tell it OK, it will ask you if this is OK, tell it OK and it will upgrade the firmware in about 2 min. I have already done this with 3 other players with no problem. Good luck. The sharp web site is sometimes a little hard to find and to me was not the most user friendly. good luck Pruitt43@yahoo.com
