Question about Alpine Car Audio & Video Accessories

Open Question

Alpine CDE-9801R I removed my Alpine CDE-9801R from my previous car but did not take the wiring set from the back (I didn't realise it was specific to the model). Is there any place I can get this easily and cheaply? - I have been quoted £30 + deliveries. Thanks

SOURCE: After installing the alpine cde 9870 car stereo

In this situation 8 times out of 10 the problem is not with the radio, it's that there are factory amplifiers. Many cars have them, and most require a little work, or an adapter to get going. Tell me the year, make, and model of the car, and perhaps I can give you more info.

All your connections are on the rear as is the usb if your able to get up under neath dash and access the back of radio you can get the USB plugged in its a green plug on the drivers side on that model. ipod plug is rite next to it if i remember rite. Go to like Cruthfield type in your model and name and if they have it theyll show you all sides of unit.

I just bought the aux cable to connect my I phone 4 to my cde-9881 alpine stereo but when I hooked it up my iPhone connects to the head unit but only plays music thru the speaker on the phone. Why??

try playing your music first on your phone then with the cord alreay in your radio, plug it in to your phone....If that doesnt work, might be a setting on your radio....is it on aux in????

I don't know which cable from the stereo in the memory...???

Hello,
The memory wire will be the constant power wire. If it was not a constant power then you would loose the clock and channel settings.

Alpine CDE 9870 Won't Eject Scratched CDs

Sounds like it's overheating. Does this unit have a small fan in the back? If so, does it work, or is the airflow blocked? Also, you can get 'steam' on the disc when coming in or out of the cold with it.
