network connection an internal error has occurred 80410A0B

  • Zoo York Rep Sep 22, 2008

i had the same problem, but i still had warranty, i sent in my system and the sent me a refurbished PSP. i still dont know how to fix it, and i know at least 2 other people who have the same problem.

im sure i was no help, but sending it in is always an option, itll cost like 25 bucks to mail the system from anywhere in the states to texas (thats where sony factory is) and probably more to fix it if you dont have warranty. they pay for the shipping on the way back.

I found the solution.

google the error code and there are a lot of different solutions.

here are some:

take out the mem stick, take out the umd, and reset factory settings in the settings menu.

system might freeze, but its ok, do it again, and it might work.

here is another solution.

it might be corossion.

open PSP and on the left corner, you might see corrosion on the edge. clean up ALL the corosion, on both sides of both motherboards, and you migh have to replace the internal battery as well, but if yo have corossion, this is guaranteed to work. worked for mine.

to clean up the corossion, use alcohol, or acitone. its safe to use it on microchips, but not on plastic surfaces because acitone will eat right through plastic on the psp like acid.

let me know if i was of any help.

thanks for reading

This is what I used to get it to work. You must have a pandora and magic memory stick for this. It is going to reset your mac address and create a new one then it should work.

I agree with you zoo i have not heard about the corrosion though thats a concept i have not thought of!
Ok i know how this must feel  i have my friends psp im trying to rehack it because he upgraded it when i told him not to lol! well he get this error  so i emdietly i youtube and google the matter these are the two main solutons i have came to find number one broken wifi card! number two this i tryed and did not work for me it will mabe work for you. remove you umd (game) and mem card from psp goto settings>system settings on you psp then click restore default after you restore it and hit reset wich will come up after you hit restore defalts oh and dont worry this will not remove any hacks or mods you did to your psp! then remove your battery wait 10 seconds put it back in turn on your psp and it will work well if this does not work your wifi card is broken also using a pandora battery will not fix it! you will probly need to buy a new card or just trade in your psp or if you dont care about the web do nothing about it! i hope this helped!

My psp 1000 wont connect 2 the internet and it says "an internal error has occured. (80410AOB)" any ideas would be greatful :)

An internal error is a hardware failure, so unless you know how to diagnose it, you'll probably have to end up replacing the motherboard. AKA Get a new one.

CAN U HELP ME

First of all, psp can browse the internet with its simple browser.

BUT! What you may not know is that there is a bug where when you try to search or use a wireless lan connection (WLAN) the psp may say something like:

Internal Error
(80410A0B)

To fix this without any memory loss, take out the UMD which is in the psp, and also take out the memory card.

Next, go to settings, then system settings and click restore settings, the psp may freeze up, but it is not broken, take out the batter pack and put it back in, the settings should be restored and all should work.

Sony hotlines dont seem to tell you how to fix it, many people often go buy a new or swap their psps, but all you need to do is this!

Prob. with psp

It happens to mainly PSP-1001 Series. This error has nothing to do with your battery, ms duo, etc. You can try updating your firmware but the best thing to do is call Sony and they will swap it under warranty.
