I am trying to recharge my Breezaire WK8000 cellar unit (which Breezaire said could be done), but the unit has Rivits at all corners.
How do you get to the compressor to recharge this unit?

DRILL RIVETS OF WITH A 1/8 DRILL BIT AND ADD AN ACCES VALVE. UNIT SHOULD NOT BE RECHARGED WITH OUT PRESSURE TESTING UNIT AND FINDING THE LEAK FIRST, OTHERWISE THE FREON WILL SCAPE AGAIN

YOU WILL NEED TO REPLACE THE CONDENSER COIL(HOT SIDE OR BACK OF THE UNIT) AND RECHARGE THE UNIT SAME AS IF THE UNIT HAD A REFRIGERANT LEAK.

The service person shouldn't be recharging the refrigerant unless they have found and repaired a leak. Or do you mean an antifreeze solution that is pumped round the system? If so the service person should have checked the cooling system was working before adding coolant.
Before you can answer that question the equipment must have clean evaporator, clean condensor, all fans working oiled and up to speed. Drain line in evaporator clean and opened. what refrigerant. let me know I can help. Thanks for choosing fixya. wally
THE MANUFACTURER WILL PROVIDE YOU WITH A DIAGRAM OF THE CONECTIONS FROM THE CONTROL BOARD TO ALL THE COMPONENTS THE BOARD CONTROLLS. MIGHT HAVE TO INSIST ON THE REST OF THE DIAGRAM SPECS BUT THEY WIL PROVIDE THEM TO YOU 858-566-7473 BREEZAIRES NUMBER
try to defrost the unit check the evaporator fan if working good adjust the setting or lessen the setting of your thermostat maybe the thermostat cannot cut off after reaching the temperature setting then start your unit then observe.
