Open your cpu remove the battery on the motherboard restart the pc without battery and refresh the bios by the jumper or a switch present near to the battery.

Change the resolution right click over your desktop blank area click properties and under setting you can adjust screen resolution

I forgot the password to my old hp pavilion ze4200 laptop. i cant enter windows. how can i restore my computer?

Not sure if your talking about a windows operating system password or a BIOS password that comes up when you first turn it on but either way, as soon as you turn on the laptop, keep pressing the f11 key and it should bring you into the HP Factory Restore. If it doesn't then you'll need a windows cd to restore your laptop back to factory defaults and then load the drivers and any software you'll use on the laptop.
Keep in mind if you have a BIOS password then you'll need to call HP to get help in removing that.

Hi,
It seems to be BIOS password, if you don't remember or don't have the BIOS password you have to reset the password by opening your CPU cover and removing the CMOS coin battery, this will reset the BIOS password but dont forget to return back the battery and start using your PC.

I forgot the BIOS password someone told me to remove battery and put it back but i cant find the battery

The BIOS Battery, to be precise CMOS battery looks like:

When your PC is turned off, your computer saves information about time, bios options and others with the help of CMOS battery. Try to remove it, wait a few minutes and set it back again. This action might cause to reset your BIOS password.

I forgot my bios password could you help me SerTag #F6KG1G1-595B

Hello,
There is actually no easy fix about this issue. Not even a possible way of bypassing the BIOS password. Normally re-flashing the BIOS software should fix it but it is done by the manufacturer and thus these kind of problems are normally tagged or considered tampering.

My emachine notebook is need to reformat but the bios has a password and i forgot it. i need to clear the cmos but mi cant find the internal battery.what the best solution in this problem? please help

To reset the BIOS password read the information from this link http://www.fixya.com/support/r7229632-reset_or_remove_bios_password

In case of your laptop I would suggest using software from Hiren's Boot CD to clear the BIOS (there's Kill CMOS on there that wipes the BIOS).
