Try holding ALT and pressing 0128

It will tell you in your computer manual. If you've lost the paper copy you probably have a PDF version in the documents on your hard drive.

Has there been any damage? A spill? You may have to replace the keyboard?

Yes, Unibeast & Mavericks.
Boot flags i used for that exact top were -v -f
Then post install use MultiBeast for Lion or Mavericks

On HP DV6000 series laptops, to clear the BIOS password, find the Cmos Battery (or RTC battery) and disconnect it from the motherboard for at least 10 minutes. This will clear the CMOS and clear the passwords. This is straight from the service manual. Once the time is over reconnect the battery and power the system back up, make sure you go right into the BIOS and reset the date and time. This is usually accomplished by striking the delete key or the F2 key during the HP splash screen.
