Rinnai Avenger 25 Error code 18

According to the owner/service manual I found for you, code 18 means "Temperature sensor faulty -- Service call." You can download the entire manual at the link below, the information about this code is on page 17.

Note: the manual includes information for 3-4 models. http://www.rinnai.com.au/media/748133/CI_Avenger_Blaze_Dynamo_Enduro__1_.pdf

I have an Rinnai Avenger 25TR heater. The problem is that the heater ignites, it starts, but then it turns off. A red light then flashes and the number 13 also flashes in the bottom right hand corner of...

Paul, the Error Code Fault 13, indicates a Combustion Control Fault. This could mean, not enough gas for safe combustion or to much gas for continued operation. In any event, if requires a service call from an authorized Rinnai Service Technician to solve.

Just in case you have misplaced your Owner's Manual, I have included a link to it, that you can download and print for future reference.

Can't get hot water heater to work - Rinnai Infinity 18

If you can get to the gas valve make sure it is in the on position and not in pilot or off. Does it sound like
a spark ignition system? Even though you say the gas valve is on, by code thered should be a gas shutoff valve located within site of the unit. Follow the
gas pipe until you find such a valve and make sure its on
