Question about Creative Labs ZEN V Plus MP3 Player

FIrmware Problem Hi, I have got Firmware problem in my Zen V plus, when i connect the player in Laptop. When i reset also,its keep on coming. No other screen is diaplaying. But it is getting charged. So please help me what to do

    My Creative Zen V plus 4 Gb Player is not switching on. When i connect in my laptop it showed firware problem and gets charged with firware problem screen, after sometime when i disconnected and connected it again,its not switching on at all.

    please suggest me what to do

You have to go on the official Creative website, and on the top of your screen, there should be a list of options. Click "Support". Then, it will ask you what kind of product you need help with. Click "MP3 players", then there should be a list of MP3 players. Click "Zen V Plus". Scroll down and there should be a list of downloads, and firmware will be second to the top. That worked for me.

Before reinstalling firmware, first backup your data from the player.
All data will be erased when the device gets new software on it.

Download the firmware from the support page.
Click "Show details" next to the firmware download for an overview of the requirements and instructions.
Connect your player with the computer and install the firmware:
do not disconnect until the installation has completed.

After this the player should have all its maps for the media.

If you already try both reset, then try doing a firmware update.

On computer try unplugging computer power cable, and if it is a laptop also remove battery, this sort out problems related with electrostatic charges on computer USB ports.

Zen V Plus freezes only when certain tracks are played -


First place the Zen in the freezer to help the firmware to stiffen up. Once frozen place in microwave for 25 seconds. This will reset your device and all should be good.

There's an updated firmware download: Firmware 1.32.01. Try downloading that.

Nothing works!!


If your Zen is not responding or in a "reboot loop" the following information from creative explains how to access the players recovery mode
Hope this helps, and good luck.

Zen V Plus and Zen V

1.

Detach your player from the PC if it is connected, and turn off the player.

If the player stops responding, you can reset the player. To reset the player, gently

insert a thin object into the Reset hole located below the power switch.

2. Press and hold the Play button while powering on your player.

3. When the player displays the Creative logo, release the Play button.



It will display the following options:

Clean Up


Scans the player and removes invalid links from its music library.

Does not affect music files themselves.
Format (All)

Caution! Erases all content!

Save a copy of your player's content before formatting.
Reload OS/ Firmware

Caution! Erases your player's firmware.

DO NOT select the Reload Firmware option unless you have access to a PC and you have downloaded the necessary firmware to install.
Reboot Reboots the device.

Have you tried updating the firmware of your Zen V Plus? I've had mine for almost an year and haven't had these issues -- I updated the firmware as soon as I unpacked it.

try downloading the
MP3 player recovery tool from Creative's website (the tool contains the latest firmware update available -- 1.15.03). Plug your ZV+ into your PC, run the program and let it update the firmware. Then format, reload your music and try it.

By the way, before updating the firmware, let the battery have a full charge, ok?

I hope it won't keep freezing on you after the update

Freezing


Using the instructions below try Cleanup first, if that doesn't work... (if you have a backup of all your music on your computer), try the format option

My zen v plus keeps freezing once comes on what should i do?
