Sharp IX-A1000 RECEIVES faxes that only have horizontal lines across the top of a page and gradually disappear to a blank page on the same page. Also, when SENDING a fax from this same unit, the receiver gets a totally black page of ink. Can you help? Small business here, and our customers depend on the fax machines "success"!

Your display is faulty. Check out ebay for a replacement. Changing the display is straight forward. If you get your display we can instruct you on replacing it.

blank lines across fax: if you get it when receive its from the sender but if when you send or make a copy you should clean properly the scanner unit with alcohol and cotton, its the trace of corrector liquid

you must open the back cover of tv, and then things you should do is set "SCREEN" adjustment on the flyback transformer. you must turn it counterclockwise to reduce and decrease the level of screen brightness. turn screen adjustment gradually until the horizontal blanking lines disappear from the screen. and blurred images will be sharp again

Noisy line? is all that strikes true when you ensure me it makes great photocopys, but then you receive OK, very strange, All the mechanisms for doing a local copy is the same as sending a fax the difference is the conversion to phone noise so it has to be electronic, I;d guess lightning/power surge, cant think of much else....sorry

sounds like the seperation roller in the paper tray is worn .. this roller is there to stop multiple feeds or it may have a pad in your tray open the paper tray up and look at the roller in the tray or the pad ; and give it a clean with a damp cloth.. also check the paper if it has been in the tray over the weekend when not used sometimes they pick up cold or dampness and so the paper sticks to the top sheet.. Im thinking more on the lines of the sepertion roller/pad area.. Goood luck A

Problem is most likely caused by a worn paper pick roller. It would be more expensive to repair this fax than to just replace it.

Unplug the power cord. Try to move the cartridge to the right by hand.

when trying to copy or receive a fax machine will flash printer error and send out blank page i replaced the ink cartridge and blue air tho it but nothing seems to help

What happens when you make a copy?
If that is blank, you have a bad scanner.
