We have Apex DVD player that is compatible with the RCA universal remote. We have done the search for the code and have written it down. We have programmed the code, which is 3160, numerous times and it still is not working to run the DVD player. Please let us know if what we can do. Thank you for your time, and we hope to hear back from you soon!

Your Sanyo universal remote probably has a code search feature you can use to find a code for your Apex DVD player. If a search through all codes stored in the remote fails, you may have to try using another universal remote.
You are seeking codes with RCA systemlink-3 remote control to Apex TV. Unfortunately, there is no setup codes for Apex Tv with this remote control. It is very difficult to gat a remote control that has setup codes for Apex Tv.
Comcast On demand custom-3 universal remote control has codes for Apex.
Codes are :
0748, 0765, 0767
I don't have the original control remote for Apex Ad-1201 DVD player. I would like to use my Universal Remotes: Radio-shack USA "flag" 4-IN-ONE Remote and / or RCA 312W three component remote. I got the codes from the manuals but my DVD player doesn't work or turn off (only ejecting; open and close) with pause button. Could I get a possible code (s) for these Universal Remotes?
I don't think there is a DVD player made today without a remote. All of the codes would be with your universal remote. No manual...Google search your brand remote + manual. Apex is a very generic brand. Good luck.
With your model number at hand, check the RCA website for a later code list.
If you are the exception, you might find one.
Most all remotes have a 'search' function that lets you scan through all of the available code sets but this feature will, in most cases, provide only minimal functionality such as Power, Volume and Channel.
In truth, there isn't any such thing as a 'universal' remote, including the 'learning' remotes; I have one of those and it is unable to 'learn' from either of my later sets' remotes.
At best, these should be called (honestly) 'multi-brand.'
