Question about Dell Inspiron 1000 Notebook
I HAVE A DELL INSPIRON 1000. IT WORKED FINE YESTERSDAY BUT TODAY I GET NO LIGHTS AT ALL TELLING ME THE UNIT IS EVEN GETTING POWER EVEN THOUGH THE OUTLET IS OK. IF THE BATTERY IS SHOT WOULD IT STILL WORK ON AC OR NOT THANKS GARY
If the battery is shot, remove it and see if the system will power up on AC only.
If not change, check the output of the AC adapter with a Multimeter set on DC voltage. It should be 15 to 20 Volts DC current at the connection end for the computer. If low or no voltage, replace the AC adapter.
