Plug tv in and comes on ok but picture resolution apears very slow

There are several possibilities here.

If the picture is very dark and blotchy you may have a bad X-MAIN (ZSUS) board.

It can also be the Y-Main board, but less likely, it usually fails in a different way.

Here are a few useful repairs for your TV we offer:

(Basically just a search of the TV model at the site to see what it comes up with)

Hope it helps!

How can I adjust the contrast w/o contrast control?

Almost all sets have a brightness and contrast (which is often labeled picture instead) in the main customer menu-----look to see if it changes the picture or not.

If issue is the picture is there but somewhat slow to appear or dim the model indicated uses a lamp which may be the real problem...

It is printing very very slow

Try this....when you go to print click on properties and then
color....then print in greyscale. It should then print much, much more
quickly. I had the same problem and it appears that when you print in
color on a network, it uses the graphics mode rather than a text.

Picture on freeview appears to be in slow motion

Hello.
Connect DVD player to your TV and make sure that there is no "slow motion" while using it. If everything seems to be OK - problem has nothing to do with TV. It is outside of it and could have something to do with your signal source (like cable box, etc).
If DVD have same issue - main board in your TV have to be replaced.
Regards.
Russ.

Very slow startup,

Open it up and look at the capacitors. The round "tin can" looking components. If the tops appear bulged, then replacing them may help. Check out the YouTube video... and web site...

Slow picture and dark reddish tint

These sounds like you have an issue with main board or tcon. Picture slow makes me think this is a communication issue between the tcon and the main board.... This needs a professional diagnostic. The good news is i don't think it is the panel which would make the cost of repair beyond the cost of the tv. If it is in warranty or just out of warranty call sony, sometimes if it is just out of sony's 1 year warranty they will make exceptions. But you need to call them for this exception.
Some solutions are not cut and dried and an on-site diagnostic is best. In your case this is true. I have worked on sony for many years and that symptom (at least the way it is described) is not one I have seen.

Some possible causes: a slow card...purchase one rated for faster speed. Picture quality level set to highest level...pictures look great but take time to process. Some brands of cards are slow, especially the cheap ones. Stick with the big names. If your card is full of pictures, it will be slow.

Blurry pictures

It is possible you were shooting in the Night Scene mode. In this mode the camera sets a slow shutter speed for the background exposure and fires the flash for the subject exposure. Since the shutter speed is slow, your subject should be still and the camera should be on a tripod otherwise blur can result. Since this mode should only be used when the above conditions can be met, you should select Auto or Program mode for low light situations where you are taking images within six feet of your subject and the flash is required for proper exposure.
