1. Turn your Wii on and wait for the main menu to load. Click the Wii Options button in the lower left of the screen.

2. Enter the "Wii Settings" menu by clicking button with the wrench icon. Scroll to the last page in the menu.

3. Choose "Format Wii System Memory" at the bottom portion of the screen. Read the warning and select "Format" to reset your Wii to its factory settings.

Thanks!!

Bought a laptop of someone the make is a dell i will describe to you everything it has written on it top left hand corner it says Inspiron 6400 with a button next to it saying media direct in the bottom...

You are asking a whole lot here.
From what I understand, you are running Windows XP. The previous owner has not removed his name from the system.
You want your name to show up as a user.
You want the previous owner's info gone.

Do this:
Go to the control panel and to the Users icon. Create a new user (you) as an admin.
Now log off of Windows and log back on as you. Go back to the control panel and the users icon.
Click on the previous owner's name and choose "delete account." Do not save the data. Just choose delete.
This will delete the user and all his data.
This should do it for now.

Bought a garmin second hand already registered so I can't download from Garmin site How do I get maps for America

You need to either get the previous owner to remove the satnav from their site or give you the log in details. To remove it from the previous owner's site;
  • They need to log in to myGarmin
  • Click on the "myProducts" tab at the top of the screen
  • The name of the satnav (i.e. nuvi 255W) will be shown here and under it in blue writing the word "Details"
  • Click on "Details"
  • On the next screen click on "Delete Registration"
Once it's deleted you should be able to register it under your own name. If you don't know the previous owner or can't contact them I'm afraid it won't be possible to update it.

Hi, I recently bought a used Wii and got it all hooked up to our wireless and then popped up netflix and the person who previously owned the Wii had there account information saved and it auto logs us into...

your best option would be to format wii system memory. this will however erase all channels and data. you can fin this option by clicking the wii button on the lower left corner of the main menu. select wii settings, the go to page three by clicking the + button twice. then selct format wii system. after that download the netflix channel again and everything should be normal. please note that formating wii system will erase everything and set it to out of box settings.

I cant play games on my Wii. When I insert disc,I get error msg

Yes,

The owner sold you a WII that has disc reading problems. Your system would need a new laser and/or drive motor to function properly.

You can either buy an extended warranty to have this done or go through the hassle of getting your money back.

Sorry about all of this and hope I helped!

I have deleted previous users mii from wii fit, but they still appear?

Previous Mii's will still show up even if you delete them from Wii Fit. They are being pulled from your Mii database from your Wii System itself.

If you delete the Mii user from the Wii itself, it will no longer appear.

Let me know if this resolves your issue.

How do i get the old owners info off the phone so i can put mine on it?

Well the easiest way to start with a clean device is to perform a "Hard Reset".. This resets the phone back to the way it was when it came from the factory. It restores the Operating System BUT it deletes all the info YOU and the previous owner have put on. So before doing a hard reset move anything you want saved onto your PC. If there is nothing vital then go to:

Start>Settings>System(tab)> and click on clear storage.

All previous wifi and network settings will be removed. (All customisation and programs installed by you or the previous owner will also be removed)

If you need assistance in inputting the new settings then I suggest joining a support forum like www.xda-developers.com or Modaco etc.

Your HTC is also known as the Mogul or the Titan so on the forums it may be listed under these names.
