If the light wont lit on the port where that cable is connected , that can mean the cable is bad or the router ports are bad so if you have an extra cable better try it and if that work so the problem is the ethernet cable but if still have the same result the problem is the ports on the router and better call Linksys tech support for that this is the number 800-3267114.

if your modem has an ethernet connection the drivers should be on the disk provided by the internet provider
control panel admistrive tools,computer management,device manager scroll down network adapters +expand Ethernet driver right click update driver,disable,uninstall or select properties general you can trobleshoot or driver to update,rollback or uninstall
