Question about Eureka 2971AV EZ Kleen Bagless Upright Vacuum
Most likely you have a bad motor bearing. It's a pretty common problem with vacuums of this type... a good way to check is to open the bottom where you replace the belt, and look at the motor pulley. If it's blued, your bearing is most likely generating heat and bluing out the pulley. (Bad.)
The less safe but more accurate method of checking this is to run the vacuum for a minute or so, then physically check the motor pulley for heat. If it's ridiculously hot, your motor is toast. (Please be careful when doing this: ensure that the machine is unplugged, and note that it can get hot enough to burn you... Ask someone you're not fond of to touch it if you don't want to get burned.)
It your motor bearings are bad, you need a new motor, which probably will cost almost as much as the machine did.
If you've only used it 4 times, I probably wouldn't try to fix it yourself, since it's probably still covered under warranty. My best recommendation would be to take it back to your point of purchase for refund or exchange.
