Squeaking My copier squeaks when it is running. It only squeaks when actually copying and not just when it is out of sleep mode. Is there something I should be lubricating?

The squeak is coming from the drum unit. If you take out the drum and rotate it by hand it will most likely give you the same noise. you may be able to stop it by pouring some toner on it, but in reality it is more annoying than a problem.
there is a blade that scrapes off excess toner from the drum, it is slightly dry and causes the squeaking, technicians usually use a special powder that looks like baby powder to "lubricate" the blade, and stop the noise.

Sharp MX-2300N constantly sounds like it's feeding paper. It will feed paper just fine when it's actually printing something but it will still sound like it's printing something but nothing ever happ

The fuser will occasionally turn on and run to keep itself at 400 degrees. You can change the 'time to sleep' for both the fuser and overall copier through the Energy Saver admin level in the System Settings. If the fuser is running way too often, the thermistors may be insulated with a layer of toner which can be scraped off. If after a print or copy job, the machine still runs for 5 seconds or longer, you may have scrambled firmware needing a reflash.

HOW DO I TURN OFF THE SLEEP MODE ON MY PRINTER BROTHER MFC 7420

Setting the Sleep Time reduces power consumption by turning off the fuser inside the MFC while it is idle. You can choose how long the MFC is idle (from 00 to 99 minutes) before it goes into sleep mode. The timer is automatically reset when the MFC receives a Fax or PC data or makes a copy. The factory setting is 05 minutes.
To turn Sleep Mode off press Menu/Set, 1, 6, 2. Then use the dial pad to enter the length of time the MFC is idle before it goes into sleep mode, in this case 00 so it wouldn't go to Sleep mode at all. Press Stop/Exit.

4350 nosiy while in sleep mode

If it comes out of "sleep mode" every 10 minutes, and you haven't touched the printer or sent any data to the printer, try unplugging the LAN cable for 15 minutes. If the printer stays in "sleep mode"either the formatter is bad or whatever is on the other end of the LAN cable could be bad. If you can put the printer on another PC to see what happens, that would really help you out.

Can you change the energy saver adjustment

yep!
you can change it. actually it is on user's settings
it is located under general settings key operator mode.
just scroll down for energy saving
mostly the default value is sleep mode. after you press the sleep mode, the it will ask you for the sleep time you want. just press a number ( each number corresponds to number of minute)

that's it

you can do it by pressing the energy saver key it is next to the number " 3 "on the control panel or you can put a certain time when the machine will go to sleep.
1. press the [user tools] key it's on the right side under the copy key.
2. press [system settings] on the touch screen.
3. press [timer settings] on the touch screen.
the time can be set from 1-240 min.

It could need a fan replacement. Possibly the bearing is going out on it causing the squealing noise

Sleep Mode

Yes there is.But let me give you an explaination of somethign in the scanner.Once you turn the power save mode off, If the copier has sat for a while and saws WARMING UP, It is not the power save setting. The scan lamp also has to reach operating temperature for the machine to run. So even after Power Save is off, you may get an occcasional Please wait Warming up before a copy. There is no settings or changes for the scanner lamp warming. I throw that in so you don't suspect you did something wrong in changing settings.

Press the [Machine Status] button on the Control Panel. 'Machine Setup' will be displayed on the Display Screen.
  1. Press the [Enter] button. 'Machine Setup Tray 1 Size' will be displayed.
  2. Press the [Left] or [Right] arrow button until 'Power Save' is displayed, and then press the [Enter] button.
  3. Press the [Left] or [Right] arrow button to select 'On' or 'Off' to enable or disable the Power Save mode.
  4. Press the [Enter] button to save the setting.
  5. If Off is selected, skip to step 9.
  6. If On is selected, press the [Left] or [Right] arrow button to select the required time interval.
  7. Press [Enter] to save the setting.
  8. Press the [Stop] button to return to the Standby mode.
