Use a needle nose pliers and turn counter clock-wise. If you find it hard to open still you may have to put it in some kind of vise and then turn it. If you still have problems PLEASE don't hesitate to write back and I will be glad to help you! Good Luck!!
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

If it is not a feature built in to the watch to save power when it needs winding, I would say it has a bad gear wheel inside.
I would go here, join, and ask in the Rolex Forum,
These guys are really knowledgeable.
You will either find a very small lip that accepts a prying tool or you may see some indentations for a caseback wrench to unscrew it. Any jeweler or watch shop (including Sears) will change the battery for less than $8 and ensure that no damage is done and that the gasket that provides water resistance is replaced (insist that they do!). DO NOT reuse the gasket even if it looks undamaged. It will not keep water out if it is reused.
From the normal time position, press Mode and the AL function will come up which is where you set the alarm. Instead of pressing SET, press the up arrow. Each time you press the up arrow it changes function. When the alarm function is on a little bell appears above the colon in the time. The snooze has a ZZ that appears below the colon. The unique feature of this clock, is that it is the only one I have seen where the alarm works in the time zone selected. Most others, the alarm only works the home time zone, not the selected time zone. This is a huge improvement.
Watch makers/technicians use a special press to replace the back. You can get these presses but the cost can be more than it is worth.
Since the watch is most likely water resistant and you will have to go to a watch maker/technician to replace the back anyway I recommend having the rear seal inspected and replaced if needed and having the watch pressure tested to be sure that it is sealed to factory specifications.
This usually means the battery is dying. Usually the backs on these are very tight, and the back has to be taken off to replace the battery. You might be able to get the back off without damaging the watch, but you probably will not get it back on without breaking the crystal. Best thing to do is take it to a reputable watch repair place or jewelry shop and have them replace the battery for you. Before they begin, make sure they are willing to replace the crystal for free for you if they break it!
TIME ZONE SETTING
The cefault time zone is PACIFIC. lf your location is not in the Pacific zone, set the
time zone as follows:
1. In normal time mode, press the "[,4ODE" key to enter the alarm time mode. 2. ln aiarm time mode, press and hold the ADJ . 'Cl"F" key for 2 seconds to enter
the time zone setting mode.
3. Press ihe "ADJ "C/'F" key to select the proper time zone: P=Pacific
M=Mountain C=Central E=Eastern 4. Press the f,'lODE key to save and exit the time zone setting mode, or let it exit
automaiically 30 seconds later without pressing any key.
when you look at the back are there three small rectangular indents evenly spaced on the edge on the back? If so you'll need a special tool for opening waterproof watches. the tool adjusts to fit the three indents then press down as you turn counterclockwise. you can find the tool on amazon.com or your local jewelry store. make sure the gasket is in place and not damaged before screwing the back on.
