I have a cd I put in, but do not know how to remove it from my computer need help

1. Open the Computer window on your PC: Either double-click the Computer icon on the desktop, or open the Start menu and choose Computer.

2. Click the DVD drive icon: Clicking the icon selects that drive.

3. Right click on it and choose 'Eject' from the drop-down list.

OR
Try the following only if the above steps didn't work or in times of urgency, such as when the computer is locked up (or turned off), you can manually eject a disc/cd by pushing a straightened paper clip into the tiny hole (the "beauty mark") on the front of the DVD drive.

When I insert a CD-R (TDK 52x) into my iMac it tells me that it (The CD) is locked and ejects it.....is this the wrong CD-R for an old iMac (OS9.2.1)? Thank you for the help.

Did you try a different barnd of CD-R or another TDk CD-R and check if it will be working, because if you only try one TDK CD-R
sp better try another one and check if you will still have the sam problem..

How can i eject a stuck CD/DVD from disk drive of a levovo ideacentre A600? I didn't find any emergency-hole. please help.

Welcome to Fixya.

Try booting in BIOS mode by tapping on 'DEL' or 'F1' key as soon as you turn the computer on (while seeing the LENOVO screen). When in BIOS, you can eject the disc.

Thanks for using Fixya.

How do i eject a stuck cd from gateway one 710 series I have tried the eject button on the keyboard but will not give it up...

Have you tried the eject button from the tray? If all that you need is a tool to eject the tray without touching the tower, I suggest you to go to this link and download the Eject-CD freeware runtime file EjectCD.exe - approx 30kB. Alternative if your tray is locked and can not open with the above methods, you have to locate a small hole in the front panel of the tray and put into that hole something like a connector (for papers) or a strong wire in order to push the internal system to open.

In case of a problem or clarification, don't hesitate to post.

Thanks and regards

Hey,

There is a small hole in the cd / dvd drive tray, you can use a needle or something small to push in, it will eject the drive tray and the cd.

Thanks,
