Question about Microwave Ovens
1/ What do you mean by the general term "HOUSING?"
2/ I want to get the Control panel off to get access behind it, to get at the door lock, any Idea
Tilt the microwave backwards and see if there are screws in the bottom part of the control panel if so take them out and lift up on the panel.there may be 2 screws holding it in place.

SOURCE: Panasonic door won't open
the main cover of the microwave needs to be taken off so you can get the door opened and then you should have access to the screws that hold the door together. the housing is the main part of the mw and once its off you should be able to open the door from the inside and thus be able to work on the door latch..please rate me thanks

You mean it doesn't heat?
Any other symptoms or problems?
Generally, the most common causes of a failure to heat are:
- bad door switches or door switch mounts
- loose connection at the magnetron
- problem or loose conneciton on the control unit circuit board
- bad magnetron or other high voltage part
