Question about Samsung P10 C XTC 2000 Notebook

1 Answer

Keyboard problems I have a samsung p10c and the keyboard is not working properly some of the buttons are not working, and some type numbers instead of letters and some type symbols instead of letters but not the correct symbol for the key?. I have tried to trouble shoot the device but it comes back as working fine. can you help? I was thinking it may be a software problem or driver fault . I have tried an external keyboard through the usb port and that works fine. Is it the keyboard itself.

Yes in some issues i have encountered the ribbon that plugs the keyboard in may be corrupted or you may have a bad keyboard

you have numlock enabled which makes those numbers come instead, turn off numlock on your keyboard. please read your usermanual on how to use the keyboard to turn off numlock. it is a numlock button or a combination of buttons that needs to be pressed.

Some of the keys are not functioning properly they are typing numbers instead of letters and the space bar is also typing a number? Please help!!

There is probably a function button on your keyboard. Pressing that button should fix the problem. It might be labeled Fn. (Look near the bottom left of the keyboard.) Best Wishes!

Keyboard connectivity

Normal 0 Assuming that you have good batteries installed, turn the Keyboard over and locate the small reset/connect button on the back of the keyboard and press it. Then try to see if it is working. If not try pressing the button on the receiver and then on the keyboard. Try typing, should work okay.

Also to Rest/Connect the mouse, turn the mouse over and find the small rest/connect button on the bottom of the mouse and press it. This should connect the mouse to the receiver and work properly. If not, try pressing the receiver button and then press the button on the mouse. This should be done whenever you change batteries or glitch.
Hope this helps. Bud
